Grace Gilbert is a senior at Purdue University majoring in Brain and Behavioral Sciences with minors in Biology and Human Development. She is interested in studying how adverse early life experiences can shape development. She has experience working on several different research projects throughout her undergraduate degree with various populations. Her favorite project has been working with kids with ADHD in the iCAN Lab. She is excited to have more opportunities to work with children as a research assistant in the SHINE Lab. She plans to pursue a PhD in Developmental Psychology or Human Development and start her own lab someday. Learning about how children develop in adverse situations is an area of academia that Grace would be thrilled to devote her life to. The young are at the core of our developing society and our number one focus should be to protect them.
Grace loves nothing more than spending time with her friends and family — whether they’re playing games, camping in the Indiana woods, attending church together, or soaking up the fresh air outside. She is excited to be involved in the SHINE Lab during her final year at Purdue. She is honored to be a part of their impact.
